Women are often underrepresented at conferences and committees in physics, and quantum information is no exception. Many organizers are aware of this and want to change things, but don’t know of enough female researchers to include. It is of course an egg-and-chicken problem: when women don’t give many talks, they have less visibility, and are harder to find.
This website aims to address that problem by showcasing a directory of female and gender queer researchers in theoretical and experimental quantum information, with their main publications, areas of expertise, and links to videos of their talks [to come]. We also aim to keep up-to-date statistics on women working in the field, and their representation at conferences. Finally, we link to other resources about women in physics and science.
